Life is messy don't do it alone!
We are all human and although we want to stand firm in faith, praying daily and declaring His word in the quiet moments of our day, we all have moments where doubt creeps in. The longer we wait often the more discouraged we find ourselves becoming. Gather and connect with other women going through the same and find strength in each other.
Humble
The are no sparkles or shiny lights or easy fix with our group! Jesus and community is all you need. Its just what I did that worked for me duplicated for others, motivated by my desire to help others because I know how tough that seasons was me and still is for many. Its humble prayer, encouraging one another to keep holding on in faith when things get tough and daring to dream and pray bold prayers once again!
Empowered
God empowers us through His Spirit and His word. Be encouraged by His word and encourage others, participate in Bible studies together or just share a verse. Rejoice in the testimony of others and be empowered to stand firm and keep going even when its tough, declaring His promises and leaning into Him as you endure your season of waiting.
The story..
behind Godly Brides 2 Be!
I knew that prayer works, why? Because God's word says! However, despite praying for a husband for years and wasting time in the wrong relationships, I had yet to see a mighty miracle. I felt alone in my journey to meet my husband and knew that there had to be a different way. So boldly I stepped out and asked other women, who I knew were single, if they wanted to join a prayer group with me. I was taken back by just how many said yes. It was then that I set up a What's App group called 'Fabulous Brides 2 Be'. Week after week we dialed into a conference call number and prayed for other another. It was just voices in the darkness but Gods spirit filled the time together with light and we looked forward to our regular calls which gave us all strength in the waiting. Sometimes it was tough and I felt resistance to doing the calls and the ups and downs of life tried to pull me away, but I fought with everything I had to be on the call time after time. The following January we fasted together and by July that year I had met my husband and by November we were married (read my testimony).
A few years later in October 2023 I shared my testimony on a women's Facebook group and the response was huge so out of a desire to pray and encourage my dear sisters still waiting and trying to navigate the often frustrating world of dating, I set up a Facebook group and its brought strength to many.
God was faithful when I was faithful in prayer and put my faith into action. I cant explain to you the power of women gathering together in prayer and holding one and up. Prayer works, this why I've decided to run a free Facebook group to pray and support others on this journey. Look out for weekly prayer sessions by myself and some other prayer warriors in the group, and for videos by myself and my husband as we offer insight to others from our experience and point others to Christ to uphold us in faith.
